Welcome to Virginia’s 8th District Republican Committee! We are a dedicated group of local Republicans committed to advancing conservative values in the 8th Congressional District. Our mission is to support Republican candidates, promote commonsense policies, and engage with our community to make Virginia the best place to live, work, and raise a family.
Luisa Guerra-Young is the 8th District Chairman of the Republican Party of Virginia, where she leads initiatives to strengthen the Republican Party’s presence and influence across the district. Drawing on her extensive experience in strategic communications, political advocacy, and public affairs, Luisa is actively involved in advancing the party’s goals and supporting candidates in local, state, and federal elections.
In addition to her political leadership, Luisa is a senior executive communicator with The Boeing Company in Arlington, VA. In this role, she supports Boeing’s chief engineer and executive vice president of Boeing Engineering, Test & Technology. Prior to her current role, Luisa led external communications for Boeing subsidiary Aurora Flight Sciences supporting several key autonomous systems programs including Boeing’s Passenger Air Vehicle, an electric vertical takeoff and landing prototype. Luisa also held a variety of roles of increasing responsibility in political and corporate advocacy and public affairs. Luisa’s experience spans executive and reputational communications as well as survey research and data analytics.
Luisa earned both a Bachelor of Science in biology and chemistry and a master’s degree in elections and campaign management from Fordham University in New York City. She is currently earning her Master of Science in computer engineering through Virginia Tech. She lives in Old Town, Alexandria, with her husband, Mike.
